Leave it to Kim Kardashian to break the internet once again with the Kim Kardashian Cavalli collab that’s got everyone buzzing. This time, she is teaming up with the legendary Italian fashion house, Roberto Cavalli, for a limited-edition swim and vacation collection that isn’t your run-of-the-mill.

Enter the Kim Kardashian Cavalli collab that embodies two polarizing aesthetics into one show-stopping collection.
On one side, SKIMS: Kim’s brand of minimal, monochromatic nude tones to fit all sorts of skin tones. On the other hand, Roberto Cavalli: extravagant floral prints, brilliant color, and desirable sex appeal. Together, they are showing up to celebrate women’s bodies with an empowered and sultry idea, all under the umbrella of modern while still not feeling antiquated.

How the Kim Kardashian Cavalli Collab Got Started
So, where did the inspiration come from? Kim told Vogue she was going through her closet and found a random old pair of Cavalli pants she had come accross. There were vacation photos in her phone, and Kim anxiously realized how many times she had worn Cavalli on vacation. Rather than creating a bunch of knock-off prints for her new swimwear drop, Kim just Instagram DM’d Cavalli’s creative director Fausto Puglisi. He told Kim he thought it was a great idea, and the Kim Kardashian Cavalli collab was born.
Launching June 27 as a limited-time offer, it is everything you would think it would be. Swimwear, beachwear, dresses “for dinner in town” and more, typical sizes XXS-4XL. The prints would come in three themes; zebra, a vintage tropical turquoise laiden with plants and animals, and a multi-color intricate pitcure of a tiger, a design inspired by a Cavalli dress Kim wore on vacation in Mexico.

The campaign is 100% fantasy, photographed by artist and creative director Nadia Lee Cohen. The fun Kim Kardashian Cavalli Collab campaign was sent via DMs—the best part, Kim gets a platinum pixie wig (the hottest hair trend right now), and in some frames, it seemed somehow she was unrecognizable. Kim brought along her mom, Kris Jenner, and Kris was so impressed by the pieces she demanded to own a few herself, and Kim insisted she be in the campaign as well. It was a great idea to embrace the multi-generational angle for the launch; not only is it smart and marketable for both SKIMS and Cavalli, it fits into the inclusive ethos being promoted by both brands.
The Kim Kardashian Cavalli collab is more than a glitzy one-off fashion drop. It is a love letter to bold femininity, body positivity, and the simple joy of feeling sexy in your own skin – at any age, shape, and size.
