Colombian supermodel Natalia París is making headlines again – and not because she is back to modeling for a fashion campaign. In an unexpected joint interview with her daughter, the 51-year-old star made eyebrow-raising comments that made international headlines overnight.
París, the ‘Martha Stewart of Colombia’ who graced the covers of Maxim, Cosmopolitan, and Elle in the 1990s, made a shocking comment when she claimed: “We live among aliens. In fact, we might be aliens ourselves.” The bold remarks, dubbed the Natalia París alien claims, were made during a televised interview on the show Los Enredados, in which the deadpan París appeared with her daughter, singer Mariana Correa (or Nana París, as she is professionally known).
Born in Medellín, barely 1.55 meters in height, and one of the most famous models from Colombia despite it all, París recalled that after seeing an alien spacecraft as a child, the next day, it was reported in the newspaper. “I saw a UFO, clear as day. And the next morning, it was reported in the newspaper,” she stated. The event, she said, led her to pursue spirituality, metaphysics, and beliefs that were not part of the mainstream.
During the interview, both mother and daughter promoted their new single “Monogamia” and explained they share an interest in the mystical and unexplained. Mariana echoed encouragement for her mother, who maintained an unconventional worldview. “We both feel connected to something beyond this world,” she (Mariana) maintained.
But the Natalia París alien claims did not stop at the flying saucers. She stated that she has seen auras around people her whole life, including around her teachers in school, and that she once met “beings from other realms” who attempted to drain her energy. “It is almost taboo to talk about,” she claimed. “But I really believe we are not from this planet.”
All that said, París approaches relationships conservatively. She stated, “I am very open-minded sexually,” adding, “I believe relationships should be monogamous.” Her daughter Mariana agreed she is appropriate. “I respect people who consider their own relationships in a different way; but not when it comes to my boyfriend. That is just asking for trouble.”
París’s career is varied, and she has not only achieved success in modeling but also as a DJ, beauty entrepreneur, and television personality. She owns her own line of tanning and body care products, and she is a DJ at Vogue Elite events throughout the world. However, her comments regarding extraterrestrials and the associated perception of her have probably attracted the most attention.
