The Spring 2026 season saw the rise of fashion nepo babies in the fashion world once again, and this time it was not only about their presence but also about their increasing numbers and the high-profile shows they walked in. The presence of nepo babies on fashion runways is not new, but this season introduced a noticeable influx of new faces across major shows.

Among the most notable was Kai Schreiber, who, only one season after her debut on the Valentino runway, appeared in shows for Calvin Klein, Fendi, and Mugler. At the age of 17, her swift rise highlighted the pace at which recognition in the industry can follow when the right elements align.
The new creative director at Dior, Jonathan Anderson, also cast family-related newcomers in his first women’s show for the house. Sunday Rose and Matilde Lucidi were among those selected, reinforcing the idea that heritage has become part of the casting language on runways, rather than the exception.
Further evidence from Tagwalk confirmed this phenomenon. Betsy Gaghan, who walked the most shows for Spring 2026, also entered the season with a strong fashion legacy. Collectively, these bookings feel less about novelty and more about normalization, where nepo babies on the runway are no longer a point of curiosity but an expected part of the next generation of fashion.
