Bangs have such a cycle – they always come back in one way or another. Maybe because they show off the face or add a little attitude, but in whatever way, bangs are not going anywhere in 2025. The difference this time? Whenever we see bangs, we like them with texture, some softness, and fullness.

This year, we are seeing a different kind of bang, bangs of every texture and angle, and once again bangs are being redefined. In 2025, we expect to see a lot of grown-out fringe, soft curtain bangs that barely kiss the cheekbone, and light wisps that blend with layers underneath, rather than the straight, blunt, and heavy bangs we have seen in seasons past. In fact bangs in 2025 will be more airy, lighter and softer, and they are meant to look just a little “out of place” – in the best way.
One reason bangs have been promised durability for 2025 is that they lend themselves perfectly to the top coiffures of the year. Everyone loves the soft bob? Add some curtain bangs. Long hair with some slightly longer layered hair? A nice wispy front fringe will be perfect! Even curly or coily textures are adding bangs; you can wear bangs for any shape or texture, just wear them naturally with shape and volume. In 2025, stylists are focused on bangs that grow out gracefully, bangs that move nicely with your face, and bangs that do not require a 7-day re-trim.
Note: Perhaps ask your stylist for face-framing fringe that blends into your haircut, it always looks flattering, and less drastic if you’re trying bangs for the first time.
Bangs in 2025 are not about the beautiful moment of trendy hair, bangs are meant to express softness, individuality and a little edge- all at once, isn’t that fun?!
