Glueless wigs are great for convenience (no adhesives, no mess), but that doesn’t mean they are perfect. One of the troubleshooting issues is that they may not have as secure a feeling as a glued wig, particularly when involved in a lot of activity or during wind. Most glueless wigs come with adjustable straps, clips, or combs, but they may still shift a bit if they do not quite fit properly, which may make some wearers feel like their wig is not dripping.

Another problem is the restrictiveness with styling the wig, especially on the hairline. Given that they are not using adhesive to hold the lace down flat against the skin, the hairline on some glueless wigs can lift; and/or look more artificial – especially when you are wearing your hair off your face or if you are trying to achieve a flawless/undetectable look.
Some people said that the combs and clips can make the scalp pull or feel uncomfortable for long-wear; and this can be exacerbated for wearers with thinning hair or sensitive scalps. Choosing a glueless wig with a soft cap or wearing a protective wig liner can help alleviate some discomfort.
